Workshops and events

At Lighthouse Families, our workshops and events are designed to support, empower and connect families of children and young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). Whether you’re looking for practical guidance, emotional support, expert advice or simply a community that understands, our sessions provide a welcoming and inclusive space for parents, carers and families.

From advocacy workshops and educational guidance to community gatherings and informal drop-in sessions, we aim to give families the confidence, knowledge and support they need to navigate everyday challenges and help their children thrive.

Stories of Impact:
Community Gatherings

Stories of Impact is a relaxed community event where families, parents, carers and professionals come together to share experiences, celebrate progress and highlight the importance of inclusive support for children with Additional Learning Needs.

These gatherings provide an opportunity to hear real stories from families within the community, helping others feel less alone and more connected. Through open conversation and shared experiences, we aim to create understanding, encouragement and hope.

These events are ideal for:

  • Parents and carers seeking connection and reassurance

  • Families wanting to share their experiences

  • Community members interested in learning more about ALN

  • Professionals looking to better understand family experiences

Together, we create a supportive community where families feel heard, valued and empowered.
